Hello!

This is my first theme for Gnome-shell.

'Nord' is the French word for "north".

IMPORTANT:

There is a bug preventing extensions from getting fixed using user-themes:

- If you want an extension supported, ask.
- If you want the already-supported extensions' styles to take effect you will need to manually comment out their styles in <HOME>/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/xxx@xxx/stylesheet.css. Otherwise it's broken.

- If you're still on 3.4 DO NOT update. I don't have an old version.

Hey, question for you. Is it normal if my overview background is black without transparency, I tried to edit your css and I can change the color of this background, but the opacity has no effect... So I want to know if my computer is the problem.....

I'm new to Linux, but I know I'm not stupid. I've asked for advice and looked at some of the links you post in comments. It's been three hours now and I can't get this theme to work. Every time I open up Gnome Tweak tool, I'll go to the Nord file and it won't open it. It just keeps going deeper into the file until it gets to the "image" section, where the is nothing I can select. I'm using Gnome 3 (complete on Ubuntu 12.10).

Open Nautilus(Files). Press Ctrl+H. Navigate to .themes(starts with a dot). Now open the .zip file. and drag-and-drop the folder in the Files window.

Open GNOME-T-T, and change the shell theme to Nord.

Two questions though, Did you install the user-themes extension? And did you attempt to install the this using G-T-T before asking?

I got it working eventually. I had the out-dated version of the gnome extension and it didn't want to load properly because of this.
