Cyclopse - Teaser Mockup by 0rAX0 Cyclopse - Teaser Mockup by 0rAX0
Hi, it's been a long time since I uploaded something for Linux.

This is an idea I've been thinking about for some time, I started making this in Emerald, but the work has been slow, so I decided to upload a teaser mockup until I'm able to finish this.

I only have one concern, is it do-able in Emerald? I managed to make the close button, but I'm still dragging my feet when it comes to min/max buttons, I mean it in terms of usability and user-friendliness. What do you think?

I have some other in-the-middle solutions for people who don't like to copy Windows and Mac OS.

Cheers.

It looks great, but i don't think it's actually possible. i tried making something like that, and it won't let you select the close button. it only deals with the x coordinates. i mean if you go to the close button, it will be in the same x as the min/max. do you know what i mean?

I didn't quite understand your point, I already made the close button, it's not perfect yet, but it works fine.

yeah? you got it working? good job, i couldn't get it to. what i mean: [link] the red is the area designated to the min button, and the blue for the max button. since the close button is inside the zones it would be read as one of them. idk how you got around that.

No, I only got the close button to work, I didn't even start on Min/Max buttons.

I feel you should at least have a look at the theme .ini file...
But I definitely prefer the big round eye than the half circle.

Bump by lassekongo83 is really interesting in this sense...

Oops...i'm just bla and bla a lot...consider that whatever you will release is already faved by me, at least.

I will test as soon as I get a chance, and lassekongo83 is super creative in this area.

This is awesome. I was actually thinking about how the close, minimize and maximize are always on the side and how come nobody thought of doing it in the middle. Will download immediately when it gets done :D

I don't know if this is possible, but could you make a mash-up of both concepts, where as you mouse over the central semi-circle (i'm assuming this will be the close button) it will expand into a full circle. It could also help visually with the problem of the close and min/max buttons being so close to each other.

i think it is do-able. emerald allows you to center objects.. the spacing can likely be achieve by the spacing in the images them selves.

This looks like a great idea. You've totally abandoned the usual close, minimize, maximize buttons. So cool. I love this!

Looks very nice.

There is (at least) one usability issue - the buttons for min max are too small and to close to the close one.

This concept looks refreshing.

How about making min, max about the same area.. make the outer radius bigger than the title bar.. u know how I mean?

If you're going put the close button in the middle then, for balance, I feel you can stick the minimise and maximise buttons on the left and right borders of the window.
